Yes. We designed this group 24 lithium battery around the standard Group 24 footprint, so it fits the battery space commonly used by Group 24 lead-acid and AGM batteries. It is especially practical for RVs, travel trailers, boats, and other setups where you want to move to LiFePO4 without rebuilding the existing battery compartment.
A converter or charger with a LiFePO4 charging profile is the right match for this 12V 100Ah lithium battery. Our recommended AC charging setup uses a 14.6V LiFePO4 charger; if your RV still uses an older lead-acid-only converter, upgrading the charging section or adding a dedicated LiFePO4 charger gives the battery the correct charging profile and lets you use its capacity more effectively.
The BMS automatically stops charging when the battery temperature falls below 32°F, protecting the LiFePO4 cells from low-temperature charging damage. This battery does not contain a self-heating system, so when camping in sustained freezing weather, keep the battery compartment insulated or use an external thermostatically controlled battery heater. Charging can resume once the battery warms above the protection threshold.

A useful estimate is to divide the battery's 100Ah capacity by your trolling motor's average current draw. A motor averaging 20A, for example, gives roughly 5 hours of theoretical runtime, while lower-speed operation can extend that substantially. Wind, current, boat weight, speed, and frequent high-thrust operation all increase energy use, so the Vatrer App is the most practical way to track remaining capacity during a day on the water.
LiFePO4 batteries maintain a relatively flat voltage through much of their discharge cycle, so a basic voltage-based battery gauge can continue to appear nearly full even after significant capacity has been used. Our Bluetooth LiFePO4 battery lets you view SOC and operating data directly through the Vatrer App, giving you a much clearer picture of your remaining power before heading farther from shore or extending an off-grid stay.
Its IP65 ABS housing is designed to resist dust and water exposure, while the moisture-resistant and salt-spray-resistant design adds protection in marine environments. IP65 does not mean the battery is submersible, so mount it above standing bilge water and keep the terminals out of direct water exposure. A 2000W inverter can be part of the system, but the battery should not be expected to supply a sustained 2000W load.
