A 300A BMS handles much more current than a typical lower-output RV battery, and sustained current generates heat around components such as the MOSFETs. The cooling fan actively removes heat from the BMS area so the protection board can manage prolonged high-current discharge more effectively. The fan is there to cool the BMS electronics rather than the RV compartment or the battery cells directly.
The battery measures 15.51 × 8.27 × 11.69 inches and weighs 71.65 lb. Install it on a solid battery tray that can support the full weight, secure the housing against movement, and keep the cooling-fan opening unobstructed so air can move around the BMS during heavy use.
Connect a charging source that can provide more than 10A. When the cell temperature is below 32°F, we route the incoming charging power to the internal heater instead of the cells. Once the battery warms above 41°F, heating stops and normal charging starts automatically.
