Vatrer 12V 100Ah(Group 24) Low Temp Cutoff LiFePO4 Battery with Bluetooth

I did order three 12 V 100 Amps Group 24 batteries for my sailboat, unfortunately my freight forwarder limited me to three, I actually wanted four batteries. Delivery was a little bit delayed as there was a misunderstanding regarding a mail that Vatrer sent to confirm the order, but I finally got the batteries and they look good to me. Packaging was very good, the came in a strong cardbox, well protected. Overall building quality looks very good to me, and very important, they have a well written manual (not such other bad chinese translations). I did charge them up one by one in one day through my Victron 100/50 MPPT - all cells seems to be well balanced, so im quite satisfied so far. Ill definitely order the fourth battery next month, and perhaps also four more as soon as I see how they perform. Important to mention, 100% SOC until no more amps went into the batteries was around 101 to 102 amps.

Battery technology has come a long way in the past century. Starting with old-school, extra-heavy lead-acid batteries, we now have a plethora of options. Nickel cadmium, lithium-ion, and lithium-polymer batteries all have their own advantages and disadvantages. But one thing they all have in common is that they weigh less than lead-acid. That said, lead-acid batteries still dominate the market for large, powerful batteries found in motorcycles, boats, cars, and RVs.
One of these newer battery types has a name that looks like a license plate: LiFePO4. Short for lithium iron phosphate, LiFePO4 batteries use LiFePO4 as a cathode, with a metal-backed graphite carbon anode. These batteries have a much higher specific capacity than other batteries. In plain English, this means you can get significantly more juice from a battery that’s lighter than other varieties. However, the relative voltage is going to be lower.

Another significant benefit of LiFePO4 batteries is that they are less toxic than most other types. This is particularly helpful in marine and automotive applications, since old lead-acid batteries can burn you when they’re damaged. Lead-acid batteries also require special processing, which makes them pricey to dispose of. Finally, LiFePO4 batteries are generally more stable, which means they’ll hold a charge for longer.
All of these advantages have made LifePO4 batteries the go-to choice for utility systems like solar arrays. However, they’re now becoming available for vehicles, as well as for residential backup power systems.

This battery measures 12.95 inches in width, 8.42 inches in height, and 6.77 inches in depth. This makes it comparable in size to the average automotive battery, although it’s much lighter. At 24.2 pounds, it’s easier to transport and install than a lead acid battery. However, it’s not designed for automotive use. Instead of automotive terminals, it has F12 terminals, which are designed for solar arrays and other similar systems. F12 terminals are also easy to connect to an RV power system or an ATV. As a result, this battery is suitable for a wide array of applications.

The cycle rating is more than 2000 cycles. The exact longevity will depend on how the battery is used. Frequent total discharges will lower its lifespan, while moderate, continuous use will maximize it. It also has a natural lifespan of 10 years, after which the cells will need to be replaced. The manufacturer offers a 5-year warranty, so should there be any issues, you’ll be able to get a replacement.
With a total capacity of 100Ah, the battery is quite a workhorse. It’s rated for 70 amps of continuous output, with a surge rating of 100 amps. This means it’s not suitable for starting an engine. The peak power just isn’t sufficient.

If you want your batteries to last longer, you can wire several batteries in parallel. The more batteries wired into your system, the longer they’ll last. However, they cannot be wired in series. As a result, your maximum total power is limited to 12 volts.

This battery has a built-in BMS. This ensures that you’re protected from a variety of faults, such as overcharges, over discharges, and overloading. The BMS will also automatically shut off the battery if it’s overheating, or if there’s any short circuit in the system. In terms of temperature, the battery can run a bit hotter than the other batteries. It can operate from -14 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit, so it’s a great choice for ATV riding in hot climates. The rated charge temperature range is 32 degrees to 122 degrees. As a result, it’s a poor choice for continuous outdoor use in cold climates. One thing the battery does very well is hold onto its juice. The self-discharge rate is only 2 percent per month, so it could theoretically sit for 4 years without fully draining.

This deep cycle battery is so good for off grid or in the RV or with our food truck which is why we got it and this one has a really good battery that can be recharged and a high temp cut off so it doesn’t charge over 167°. This battery is waterproof which is so helpful so you don’t have to worry about the elements. A really great thing about this battery is there isn’t any acid so it is safer and eco-friendly.

My husband bought a 14ft boat last summer and wanted to slowly start replacing the batteries with lithium seeing as they are much lighter than traditional batteries. We ordered the 100AH battery to see if it would work as well as we hoped. It was a breeze to wire up, he liked having the screw in bolts for terminals. The battery is more than half the weight of the battery he replaced. He's using it with a troll motor that is a motorguide xi5 wireless. He loves having consistent battery voltage through the charge cycle. With lithium compared to lead acid you keep voltage above 12v throughout the whole runtime. It keeps his motor running like a new charge for his whole trip. Losing over 30lbs off the back of the boat made it get on plain slightly faster and he noticed a small increase in MPH. He has a relatively small boat its a v14 tracker. The weight savings is pushing him to buy another for his electronics/starting battery. This battery is definitely worth the cost. We are saving for the 2nd one and will be back to purchase in the next few months.

As planned I did order a fourth battery to complete my sailboats house battery bank, after testing the Vatrer 100 Amps with Bluetooth for a couple of weeks. Im still satisfied, they did balance theirselfs inbetween the batteries i installed in series, and also the cells did balance very well. I use the Vatrer app continuously to check if my Victron Smartshunt readings are the same as the batteries SOC, everything works well.

Could not be happier with this battery. Amazing price with all the protection features to protect my investment. Used in my 18ft camper to get me through the weekend. Plenty of power for what I need. Pulls charge from my solar hookup perfectly.

Packaging was impressive. The battery was protected on all sides by thick foam. I watched a video where it was dissected. It was impressive to see how well made these batteries are. The customer service is quick to respond. I had to make a change to my order and they were very accommodating. The price is affordable. I’m excited to go boondocking.
